Alliance Guinea Keeping a Computerized Eye on the Presidential Election – Check out the Website

October 30, 2010

During the first round of Guinea’s presidential election, Alliance Guinea maintained a computerized registry of reports (Guinee Vote 2010 Temoin) of  voting irregularites, voter intimidation, etc.  The reports came largely from eyewitnesses on the ground in Guinea.  Alliance Guinea did an excellent job and is doing the same for the second round.

I encourage you to check out their website now as incidents have been reported already. It is an in time system so you can see the reports as they come in.   Click here to go to their site.

Thanks for this! We really would love for everyone to follow the reports and also encourage all your family and friends in Guinea to text in messages to 8008 (only 50FG) when they witness something – violence, issues with the listes electorales, & also positive things like calls for calm, etc. Guinea Oye and any other blog can also get the GV10 Temoin widget plugin for your website, available by emailing

    In solidarity,

      Hi Jennifer:

Thanks for the info — I will post this information tomorrow to encourage everyone to participate. I’ll also get the plug-in. Thanks for your great work!
