Guinea’s CENI Scam Continues with Help of Judge’s Postponement of 15 Days for Trial of Guinea Electoral Chief
The postponement is to buy time for Lounceny Camara to lie just below the radar until the election is just a few days away and then the judge will exonerate him. Camara will be deemed fit to hold the CENI presidency and there will not be enough time to appoint another head or re-configure the CENI.

CONAKRY, Guinea — The judge of the case against Guinea’s electoral commission president says the trial will be postponed for 15 days so that both sides can prepare their arguments.
The party of leading presidential candidate Cellou Dalein Diallo has accused electoral commission president Lounceny Camara of fixing the first round of elections held on June 27. The party also accuses Camara of being a militant supporter of opposing candidate, Alpha Conde.
Diallo’s party says it will not participate in the run-off elections scheduled for Oct. 24 if Camara remains head of the electoral commission. Meanwhile Conde’s party has also said it will boycott the elections if Camara is removed from office.
The election — which has already been rescheduled six times — was expected to be the first transparent vote since Guinea’s independence from France in 1958.
